Shroder Families and Community Members,

Greetings! My name is LaVaugn Neal and I am honored and very grateful to introduce myself as the new principal of Shroder High School.  I do not take it lightly that I have been chosen to lead this extraordinary school community and I am looking forward to building on Shroder’s excellent foundation. I am committed to creating strong positive relationships with all stakeholders, building teacher leadership and instructional capacity, and maximizing student voice.  You can expect me to have our student’s best interests at heart.  You can expect me to be present and consistent. And above all, you can expect me to roll up my sleeves and work alongside you as we “produce lifelong learners through high standards and a supportive environment”.  

 

I am a native of Cincinnati, a loving mom of 4, and have been with CPS for 13 years. I believe that ALL children deserve a high-quality education and a place where they are loved, supported, and feel safe. As we start our journey together, I want to congratulate all of our students on completing the 2021-2022 school year strong despite the continuing pandemic and other obstacles.  Your hard work and dedication allowed us to see increases in Ohio State Test (OST) Scores! Let’s use this as a launching pad and excel even higher.

I come to you with 15 years of experience in education.  I have served in various capacities, ranging from an Algebra 1 Teacher to an Instructional Coach and, most recently, an Assistant Principal. I am incredibly excited about our future together. I am here to take Shroder to the next level with your help and increase our “Jag Swag”. Working together we can make Shroder High School into a premier educational institution that actively develops students who are ready to thrive in the 21st Century by embracing challenges, celebrating diversity, and being innovative thinkers.  WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER!   

I look forward to working together and celebrating our collective successes during the 2022-2023 school year.  In the words of Ms. Amanda George let’s have a ‘Jag-nificient’ Year!
